How are we organized?

The focus of the AML is to research into malicious software technology like rookits and various techniques of bypassing security mechanisms inherent in software systems and applications. The idea behind such effort is the belief that software security is dynamic and constantly evolving, and that we should test the limit of such security mechanism to further improving it.

Members of the AML are highly qualified and skilled security researchers, especially in the area of kernel research. The AML team is highly regarded in the international security community ever since we published our research findings on virtual machine rootkit. We aptly named this rootkit “Blue Pill”

As for the VRL, this team is focus on discovering inherent vulnerabilities in software either due to bad development or weak implementation. Basically software is created by humans, and to err is human. The VRL team is sub-divided into 2 sub-teams, namely the Windows sub-team and the Linux sub-team. Both sub-teams have published several findings.
